We examine two more New Testament passages where believers are commanded to yield to government authorities (Titus 3:1-8 and 1 Peter 2:9-17). Yielding to government authorities is a Christian discipline!

We also look at three very vivid examples in the Book of Daniel of what it looks like to disobey government authorities in specific areas (because of the commands of God) while still honoring them and being willing to suffer for it (by committing our fate to the Lord).

Yet He willfully yielded to the government, setting the example for us, and helping us to understand God’s ultimate rulership. We need to yield to our authorities because God is over them, and is accomplishing His will through them (and through our yielding).
