Key Characteristics of Northridge Baptist Church

Thursday, October 20th, 2011

What are our core beliefs that make us who we are? Here are seven key characteristics that describe what we believe:

  • Fundamental (we believe in basic core truths)
  • Evangelical (we believe salvation is by faith alone in Jesus Christ’s person and work)
  • Dispensational (we believe that God works in different ways at different times)
  • Cessationist (we believe that God’s Word is complete, and that He is no longer utilizing direct revelation, tongues, etc.)
  • Baptistic (we hold to Bible beliefs traditionally believed by Baptists, so we can be called “Baptist”)
  • Family-Focused (we minister to families as families, as well as to individuals)
  • Christ-Ruled, Pastor-Led (we believe God appoints men to lead us to follow Christ’s rulership)
