Two weeks ago we looked at Hebrews 10:24-25, where we are instructed to be exhorting one another rather than forsaking the assembling of ourselves together. Great, but what does it mean to exhort? We look at that in detail today as we examine a summary of how the word translated exhort (parakaleo) is used in the New Testament.

Assembling together with a local body of believers is for the mutual benefit of one another. It is also necessary to keep us safe. We each NEED the church to help guard us from the deception that sin brings. We need others to help us see our blind side!
