We take an intensive look at 1 Peter 3:18:

“For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit,”

and we look at the truths of Christ’s suffering, and the impact that His suffering has on us as those that have been saved by Him!

Independence is often misunderstood. When the 13 colonies declared their independence from England, they did not consider themselves free in every way. They considered themselves free to obey God in truth by His revelation. They changed masters, from the King of England to God Himself.

In the same way, when we are saved from slavery to sin, we are not released to do our own thing. We cease being slaves to sin and become slaves to God! We are slaves, either to sin, or to God. There is no third choice. Romans 6 is very clear about it!
