God Wants ALL of ME: My MIND (Romans 12:2)

Lord of My MIND

God Wants ALL of ME:  My MIND (Romans 12:2)

God saves us to make us completely new. True Christianity involves giving God our body as a living sacrifice (the first lesson in this series) and allowing God to renew our MIND as well. God is to be the Lord of our thoughts as well as our bodies. He desires to prevent us from being programmed by the world, and instead to fill our minds with what is good, acceptable, and perfect. That is God’s will for us. (This is the second of a four-part series on Romans 12.)

Jesus Teaches and Warns About His Second Coming (Luke 17:20-37)

Jesus Teaches and Warns About His Second Coming (Luke 17:20-37)

Jesus answers a question of the Pharisees about the timing of the kingdom of God and then teaches and warns the disciples regarding his Second Coming. Jesus warns His disciples about what to look for when He returns, and how to avoid false reports of His return. Jesus likens the time of His Second Coming to the days of Noah and to the days of Lot. What does this mean, and when will this happen? How will this encourage us to share the Gospel with others? Understand, everyone will know the real Jesus when He returns to earth a second time.

The Resurrection Makes All the Difference (1 Cor 15:1-34)

Monday, April 21st, 2014

Believe it or reject it: Jesus rose from the dead or He did not. If He did not, then party hardy, because there is nothing after this life. However, if He DID rise again (and there’s no evidence to the contrary), then that changes EVERYTHING: Everyone will be judged. Your only hope is Jesus death and resurrection. If you are a believer, you need to make up your mind and be ALL IN or ALL OUT. You can’t live in a world where you define Jesus as you want. He is the Savior or He is not.

Thursday, February 20th, 2014

We take a look at 13 observations from the exhortation given by Jesus to the Church at Philadelphia.

7 “And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write, ‘These things says He who is holy, He who is true, “He who has the key of David, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens”: 8 “I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name. 9 “Indeed I will make those of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews and are not, but lie — indeed I will make them come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you. 10 “Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth. 11 “Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown. 12 “He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more. And I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on him My new name. 13 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” ‘ (Rev 3:7-13)

Your Works Make a Difference (1 Cor 15:58)

Tuesday, July 17th, 2012

Do you ever wonder if serving God makes any difference? When you look at the results of your sometimes exhausting efforts, you see nothing come of them? God addresses this very directly in 1 Corinthians 15:58: “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.”

We take some time in this message to explain this verse in detail, and to encourage you that your works DO make a difference.
