Adding to our Wednesday series, we examined a chapter written by our pastor relating to bi-vocational ministry – pastors who work part-time or full-time while serving as a pastor. We discuss the Biblical logic for bi-vocational ministry as the norm. We then look at numerous benefits as well as some drawbacks. This presentation is not the end of the discussion, but it certainly helps to get it started.

We begin a topical series for our combined Wednesday evening study sessions. In this first study, we examine the title of “bishop,” its meaning, and the two other words that relate to the same position. We also briefly look at why the three terms – bishop/overseer, pastor/shepherd, and elder areĀ all terms that identify the same leadership position in the church.
